I tried using an addon pci ethernet card instead of the one integrated and then trying my other mention settings with this NIC. I have just the vista drivers and i let windows configure the settings, try that, its fast easy and no trouble. The connection fails and then the signal for the network disappears, Vista does not actually recognize the usb adapter under network devices either.
