It's fixed kind-of-permanently (until next upgrade) if I run similar commands to #7 and restart. Dell Xps 13 Headphone Jack OK, so my sound at least minimally seems ok.
However, the control panel and associated sub-windows still suffer from the lag (delay turned off in mouse & touchpad settings). Dell Xps 13 Audio Not Working In my case I used 1.75 or 2.0 and sizes become reasonable If you use qt apps (from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HiDPI#GUI_toolkits) do (preferrably add this to /etc/profile.d/qt-hidpi.sh) export QT_DEVICE_PIXEL_RATIO=2 Run "xrandr --dpi 288" Is this a general skylake problem? https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/3xrjik/dell_xps_15_9550_speaker_no_sound/ Report a bug This report contains Public information Edit Everyone can see this information.
Any questions/remarks/tips? Dell Xps 15 9550 No Sound I am starting to believe that this is an issue with either the nvidia driver, or bumblebee/optimus. Went online and search for "XPS 9550 audio" and noted some others were having audio issues but different than below. It's not an issue of the sensor, at least I don't think it is.
Dell Xps 13 Audio Not Working

Dell Xps 13 Audio Crackling I receive my replacement and the first thing I did was check for speaker rattle or static. (still clueless at the time, still thinking my first unit was faulty) NONE. Dell Xps 13 Static Sound I've been having audio problems, and once the audio drops out it seems that only a restart will fix it.
I'm using the intel prime profile and will check later what if using nvidia. Click Power. But they'd probably gimp the amp instead. :( I have an old pair of Monster Turbine Pro Coppers that really need juice to light up and they sound awesome off the I am going to upgrade to some latest kernel(s) and see other version behavior. If so, right click on it and click Enable.Reinstall the audio deviceOR1. navigate here It then seems to need a reboot to get the speakers back again (although I'm not 100% on that).
Testing: - Touchpad issue still persistent. Dell Xps 15 Audio Driver My problem is the same, the system freezed at the log in screen when the monitor was connected via HDMI (Dell U2414h). This is currently in process.
